Assignments:

Exploring Photoshop: READ chapter 2: The Staging Area

What’s Due? THREE ITEMS NEXT WEEK.

1. (5 pts) Chapter 2: Create your own "myfile.psd" per the chapter through Page 28 and email to me with the other portions of this assignment below. I just want this file sent in this week from the book, as a PSD file, not the rooster file. Spend at least one hour on this assignment, as you explore the photoshop interface.

Important!
Demonstrate the concepts of POINT and LINE in your assignment. PUT YOUR NAME AS A TYPE LAYER IN THE FILE. See above links and reading for discovery.

Complete the rest of the chapter assignments. AND THEN... (see below!)

2. (2 pts) In your email, answer BRIEFLY the 7 chapter review questions on page 36 in the body of your email that has your file attached. See page 36.

3.
(3 pts) point, line, and plane/shape:

Explore the real world environment with a camera, and/or search photographic images online – looking for surprising and intriguing visual examples.

Choose your best 3 examples, one for each concept – and
crop them each to a square and save them (Save For Web as in Chapter 1) as JPG files.

Name the three:
point.jpg, line.jpg, and plane.jpg (or shape.jpg).

Send these 3 to me in your email when you send in your other portions of this assignment.

Next week we will look at some of these and discuss.

Points and lines can be positive or negative, large or small, active or static, single or in groups.

PLEASE: Remember to put in the Subject line: 330- FIRST LAST NAME - CHAPTER OR WEEK #.

PRETTY PLEASE: Put your first and last name in the BODY of all emails, with your assignment attached, it really helps us out.
